Singapore — Strengthening Confident Gospel Witness
Singapore was the first semi-closed nation where we learned we would need to work differently. From the beginning, it was clear that effective Gospel ministry here would require wisdom, restraint, and discernment. Just days before our arrival, an American evangelist — unaffiliated with our team — was arrested after publicly preaching in a restaurant, had his passport confiscated, and remained in custody during an investigation.

The message was clear: the Gospel could not be carried forward here in the same ways we were accustomed to. So we adapted — and kept moving forward.

Singapore is a global crossroads — a highly educated, fast-moving society where people from many backgrounds live and work together. While Christianity has a visible presence, it is also a culture that values restraint, professionalism, and privacy. As a result, many believers feel unsure how to speak about Jesus clearly and confidently in everyday life.

In Singapore, moving forward meant focusing on intentional discipleship paired with thoughtful, real-world outreach. Since certain forms of public, loud proclamation of the Gospel were forbidden, we equipped believers to share Jesus clearly and respectfully — engaging individuals and small groups of no more than four at a time, even with people they had never met before.

We partnered with local churches and believers who already love Jesus but wanted to grow in confidence. Through training and hands-on outreach, they learned how to engage strangers wisely — asking questions, listening well, and clearly presenting the Gospel — not loudly, but confidently.
We didn’t stop at teaching alone. We took believers into everyday public spaces, where they practiced what they had learned. What we witnessed was an overwhelmingly positive response. People were open, conversations were sincere, and the message of Jesus was received with genuine interest and joy. Again and again, we saw the power of the Gospel at work when it was shared clearly, even in quiet, ordinary settings.

Our work in Singapore focuses on strengthening Gospel clarity and courage. Rather than large public events, our emphasis here is personal witness and intentional discipleship — helping believers move from private faith to lived, shared obedience.

Our desire is to see the Church in Singapore grow strong not only in belief, but in thoughtful, confident Gospel witness, bringing the message of Jesus into every sphere of society.

Your partnership supports training and encouragement that equips believers in Singapore to share Christ wisely, faithfully, and without fear — even where faithfulness looks quieter, its impact reaches far.
