Sri Lanka — Where the Gospel Is Confirmed with Power
Sri Lanka is a nation shaped by deep spiritual awareness and long seasons of suffering. For decades, the island endured violence and instability as the Tamil Tigers terrorist group brought fear and loss across the country. Though the war has ended, the weight of that history still lingers — and so does a deep hunger for hope.

Most Sri Lankans identify as Buddhist, with a significant Hindu population and a very small Christian minority. Most people have never encountered the Gospel clearly — but they are deeply aware of spiritual power. This openness has created moments where the truth of the Gospel is not only preached, but unmistakably demonstrated.

This is where our work in Sri Lanka has been marked by something undeniable: God’s miracles.

Hindus and Buddhists willingly line up — often waiting for hours — asking for a Christian to pray for them.

In one instance, a married couple had been interested in the Gospel for years but had never committed their lives to Christ. The husband was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer. After we shared the Gospel with them, they prayed with us and made Jesus Lord of their lives. Weeks later, while we were back in the United States, we received a call. The doctors could find no trace of cancer in his body. He told us simply, “It’s against science.”

Alongside these moments, pastors and lay ministers travel from provinces across Sri Lanka to attend our multi-day trainings in evangelism and healing — some coming from far away, hungry to learn all they can so they can carry the Gospel that heals and saves into their own churches and communities.
We travel province to province, hosting three- to five-day, all-day evangelistic and healing intensives designed to equip the saints. From morning until night, we teach, preach, and worship Jesus together — training believers to preach the Gospel clearly, teach with confidence, and pray for the sick with faith.

The Gospel in Sri Lanka is not argument, tradition, or persuasion — it is the power of God. It is not experienced through other religions. It is not available from the monk or the guru. But when a believer prays and witnesses to the lost, their own neighbors encounter Jesus as healer and Savior.

The Gospel is not just another religion.
And Christ is not just another god.
He heals. He saves. Our God is God.

Believers are ready. The harvest is open.
What remains is continued training, encouragement, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit as the Church carries the Gospel forward.

Your partnership helps make this work possible — equipping believers, strengthening the Church, and seeing the Gospel of Jesus Christ heal and save across Sri Lanka.
